Moonlight Cinema

SJ and I had a great time at the Moonlight Cinema last night.

I had a rather crappy afternoon though, dropped my phone in the toilet leaving work...so gross. I had it in my hand with my bag etc. as I opened the door, and it flicked out. Felt so stupid. It turned on afterwards but everything was a bit crazy, thankfully after drying out overnight it appears to be working today. A bit slow and one of the side buttons doesn't work, but I will live. I have disinfected it a few times too...Oh and I missed my train and had issues with the trams, was in a foul mood when I got home.

Cheered myself up though and off we went to the Botanical Gardens.
Along with a few hundred other people. Was crazy busy and sold out (glad I booked online) we were aiming to get there when the gate opened too, this is what happens when you're 15 minutes late!
Our pre-movie snack.
And dinner. Wraps worked really well, might even plan for it in future.
Had a decent view, the movie was Midnight in Paris. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to almost anyone. I'd heard mixed reviews and was a little cautious but it exceeded my expectations. I loved the Paris shots and the historical references, plus it was funny. Go see it!
These are my knees all rugged up :-)
Today I went into the city for a book club meet (read 'A Visit From the Goon Squad - Jennifer Egan for it...none of use liked it much) and since I'd taken my camera, finally got a good shot of the City Circle Sleigh, I'd though it was retired until next holiday season, but obviously not!
And this is what I wore. I hate my legs and particularly the way my knees look in this shot, feel like a little stout teapot...

This afternoon I have photographed most of my culled clothes ready for ebay...I think I'll still be listing tomorrow...

  1. Ahh it sounds like you had a lovely time at the moonlight cinema! I haven't been to something like that before, but I really want to now.
I think that your outfit is perfect for a book club meet too, your dress is just too cute x

  2. Cute dress!
A guy who worked at a phone repair shop once told me that the most common reason that people bring their phones in for repair is because they dropped it in the loo! You're not alone!

    1. Yeah I'm sure it's common, I just felt stupid for being 'one of them'. It's still playing up, the screen flashes and the torch light comes on by itself. I'm going to have to take it in and admit what happened...

  3. Do you mean Midnight in Paris? I loved that movie!

I've been wanting to go to moonlight cinema all summer but have never quite gotten around to it. Maybe I will before the season ends!

    1. I did and have corrected it, thanks :-)

The moonlight cinema was a nice experience, make sure though that you get there when the gates open and take plenty of food and drink. It sold out quickly and I was glad we had brought our own snacks. Plus not having to move once we had a spot was great!
