Casual Friday OOTD and Coloured Jeans

No I'm not wearing coloured jeans today, I had every intention of doing so until I realised it was forecast to hit 35 degrees!

Instead, I am wearing a dress.

It's a heavy enough fabric to be warm enough in the antarctic office I work in but cool enough so that when I hit up the shops after work I won't die from the heat.

After I looked at this photos (taken on the way to work) I tightened that belt up another notch...

SJ said to me this morning 'You look skinny in that dress'. Score. (Not that I think I'm fat etc. etc.)

Hair needed a wash today but I was up until 1am and slept in, so I'm embracing the grease and wearing it out (rather than have it cling to my head).

Why was I up so late? We were busy cleaning the apartment before SJ's brother and sister-in-law arrive today...we cleaned the drains and the oven and the outside of the windows, everything!

What I hear you say, you didn't say you'd have visitors this weekend? That's because I didn't know. They told us on Sunday and only booked the flights yesterday. Were originally bringing their 2-year-old who we would have baby sat tonight while they went to a wedding. Left him at home though, so it's date night in our squeaky clean apartment :-)

Wearing this bracelet today too. A little black rose (I think it's made of resin?) bought from the Valley Markets (in Brisbane) many moons ago.

And these coloured beauties I bought from Kmart last weekend. I had $50 worth of gift vouchers from Christmas, so at $19 each I only outlayed $7. Can you say Frugal February? haha. Shame I had a few other purchases this month (like that MAC last week...)

Speaking of shopping, I'm going to hit up the city this evening. Decided to kick my MOH duties off on the right foot, will round up a few bridal mags and a Kikki-K wedding planner thing (as recommended to me on the forums) to post up to MissA.

Hmm, may need to write a legend to decipher these initials soon...

  3. I hate last minute visitors! My ex-husband invited his nephew to live with us one day and gave me 6 hours notice that the kid was coming... Arrgghh!
Hope your house guests aren't any trouble for you!
