Colour Blocking: Attempt #1

So I wore my bright blue jeans today as promised! Apologies for the camera phone photographs though, means they will all be in portrait (way too hard to hold it far enough away otherwise) and not the best quality. Means you see the outfit in pieces but I am sure you'll survive.

My shoes are an off-white colour which don't quite match the white singlet I am wearing, but I really didn't want to introduce yet another colour to the outfit...

I'm wearing a plum/purple coloured cardigan. Keeping with the 'jewel' tones..

And carrying a small coral coloured bag (cheap Bluebird brand). Almost carried a dark brown leather one instead but I decided to embrace the colour instead. Especially since my nails are so crazy, don't think they clash terribly, OPI Chapel of Love on my thumbs is a similar colour to my bag.

The photos were taken literally walking from my car to my office. Wind was crazy, I'm surprised I got any semi-decent shots. Like my Harrods bag? I carry my lunch/snacks in it.

No one made any comments on my outfit today, except SJ and he doesn't count. He does approve of my rear in these jeans though so I guess that's something :-)

I'm surprised at how happy I feel as a result of this outfit, I feel supremely confident and all 'bubbly' happy. It's a great feeling and I think I'll have to try colour blocking more often. Seems to suit my personality better than the neutrals I usually wear!

Made it to the Peeptoe Warehouse sale this morning...and spent way too much money.

If you are in Melbourne, head down to the St Kilda Town Hall (corner St Kilda Rd and Carlisle St), there are definitely some bargains to be had! If you are a size 37 or 38, it would be particularly rewarding. Apparently this is the sample size and there are a lot of 'one off' pairs of shoes made (like the table shown above).  There were a lot more classic styles and colours than I expected to see to.

So what did I buy?

You'll have to wait until tomorrow's post to find that out :-)

[That's 7 pairs of shoes in black/silver bags on my black back seat btw...terrible photo I know]

  1. I love your white shoes with your first outfit. Where did you get them? They could be good for my wedding - trying to find almond or round toe white heels (not too high).

    1. Kim - They are actually a super cheap London Rebel pair...I would advise on something nicer for your wedding. They're also off-white, have a bit of a yellow tone to them. A few that might work at the warehouse sale, try and get down tomorrow and check it out!
Alternatively, if you're a size 37/38 you're welcome to have my cheap ones, I'm likely to be culling them now lol

    2. Thanks - I just commented on your next post about the warehouse sale and if you noticed any wedding shoes. No need to reply to that comment! I might go down there tomorrow - if it's not raining.

    1. Started from $49 for the sample pairs, sooo many to choose from it was rather difficult. Go! Even if you find nothing you love (and I promise you will!) it's still great fun to be there.
