Christmas Catch Up #2

So after driving for a three days to get home for Christmas, it would make sense that SJ wanted to make macarons, right? Sadly not his best batch but I think the lack of patience to sift almond meal can be forgiven. These ones are candy cane flavoured, the ganache is made from melted candy canes, white chocolate, butter and cream.

Sunny Saturday

I thought it wasn't that long ago that I had my hair coloured, based on when I was posting about it, it was back in April!

Luckily for me, I my roots aren't too far away from the colours I have in my hair!

Anyway, Saturday I finally got it done again and got a much needed hair cut. The first one since December! I though I'd want my fringe shorter again, but it's grown out so much now that the hairdresser decided I should leave it.

Braids, Dresses and Fuzzy Tights

This is how I'm wearing my hair today. I haven't braided it in such a long time I was worried it'd be super messy, so I cheated and did it while it was still a bit damp. Again, loving the colours in my hair.

Crepes and Paris

Important things first, this is my new new hair. Much better, don't you think? The hairdresser was really nice about it all (though I think he thought I was crazy when it was such a good colour) a few blonde foils through the front was all it took and I'm super happy with it. Ignore the pimple on my chin and the fact that I am in Coles. It was SJ's birthday yesterday and I took the opportunity to duck into Coles after my appointment to grab some dessert before rushing off to netball...we lost by the way...

New Hair and Tan

Let me first apologise for not posting in a few days. I knew my first post would have to be able my hair and tan but I wasn't happy with either. So I wallowed instead. Never fear, I am posting now and I am getting my hair fixed. Read on to see why...

another big weekend

Well Saturday wasn't a particularly 'big' day. SJ and I rode out to Brighton again.

My Hair

Let me start this post by saying, this will probably be very boring for most of you. My original intention was to post photographs of different hair I have had over the years and get an opinion on what to do. However, I have realised there is barely any difference in the photographs so you will probably think I am insane and I have pretty much decided to start dying my hair again anyway...

At this stage, I do have to work on Sunday. You're all not crossing your fingers hard enough. If the forecast thunderstorms for tonight and Saturday don't bring a lot of rain, I won't have to come. So keep them crossed for me!

Popcorn/Flower

Not in the mood for a long post today (SJ and his job issues have me down) so I'm going to tell you how awesome popcorn at work is. I keep a bag of popping corn kernels in my drawer with a handful of brown paper bags. Pour a few of the former into the latter (for me it's enough to cover the seam of the bag about 3 kernels thick) and pop in the microwave for 90-120 seconds...depends on the microwave. Just like with the packet stuff, listen to the pops and use trial and error if you must. When you buy popcorn like this it is awfully cheap...

J'adore rouge

I love red. As a colour it inspires a feeling that others can't manage. As far as my wardrobe goes, I generally stick to neutrals (except summer dresses) but I have quite a few red pieces even though with my colourings I should really stick with the blue items I have instead.

My Family Portrait

Just thought I'd start off my photography posts with a shot of my family. Taken last weekend before we went off to the wedding, we had a photo session in my parent's backyard. Got some really cute shots (my favourite has us all peering over the log propped up on our elbows) but I feel comfortable uploading this one as there are no faces. MissE, me, Mum, Dad, MissC and MissT if you were wondering.

Good Hair Day

Just left the salon and I'm very happy with my hair. I'll admit, I had been having a good day anyway. Wearing an outfit I'm happy with (blue shirt, black work skirt and new heels meant for Saturday's wedding, a bone colour) and got a few looks from construction workers on my lunchbreak. One even commented 'Nice' (I'm going to assume he meant me and not his lunch anyway).
