Bringing you up to speed with what I've been up to over the last 4 months will be hard work, so to start simply, this week I've been in Darwin for work. I bought a new point and shoot camera a few weeks ago (an Olympus TG-3 if you're wondering) and took it along for a trial. Given it was a work trip, I didn't have too much down time so this isn't a long post (and actually most photos are from the plane...) but better than no post at all though!

want to share with you some of my favourite moments from the trip,
going beyond the photographs to tell you the stories behind them and

My Travel Wardrobe
I have a heap of travel related posts I keep meaning to write, but I
never seem to find the time to take photos. Instead, today I have spent
my lunch break on Polyvore putting together a travel wardrobe that looks
very similar to the one I have packed at home (I'm not joking,
everything is set aside and waiting!).
I'm planning on taking only one carry on sized bag and actually intend to carry it on my flight over to Europe. I'm flying Malaysia Airlines, so that means keeping it to below their 7kg limit. I should manage it.

Homemade Travel Goodies
Been a busy little bee over the last few weeks continuing to plan and organise my trip. I've been having internet issues and have had multiple attempts to book train tickets today, it's frustrated me so much I've decided I'd rather attempt to deal with blogger. I think that says it all!

My Trip Planning
It's been more than a month since I last posted, that's a long time in between even for me. I think I have lost a few followers as a result, so if you're still with me, thanks!
I mentioned very briefly in my last post that I had started planning a trip, well the last month I have spent all my laptop time planning and booking things and even a little online shopping. So I have plenty of material to fill up a few blog posts, I just have to write them.
So where am I going?

The scars of Berlin...
Taking a break from telling you about my mundane daily life today to start revisiting some of the places I have been. Don't worry though, I will spread them all out so you don't get too bored of my travels :-)
Berlin wasn't a city I was particularly excited about seeing, and the day I was there it was a lovely 4 degrees, but the history contained there was different to other European cities. It was almost as though Berlin didn't really exist before the war and it's still fighting for a real identity.

Heading Home for Christmas
10 days until Christmas now. I don't have a lot to do to be ready, but it still feels like I'm rapidly running out of time.
SJ and I will be driving back to Brisbane for the holidays so we have even less time than usual. I will finish up work sometime on Tuesday afternoon (I have a bit of flex time worked up...maybe I should take the whole day lol) and head out to Traralgon to have dinner with some relatives. Wednesday night will be spent at my best friend's place in Canberra, Thursday lunch with family near Newcastle, Thursday night will be somewhere on the New England Highway (maybe Armidale?) if we can get decent cheap accommodation we'll stay in a motel, otherwise we'll have to just camp (the hazards of traveling without bookings at Christmas time). Friday I'll be dropping SJ at his brother's place in Toowoomba and attempting not to get too distracted by his nephew so I can be at my parent's place on the Gold Coast before dinner time. Phew, exhausted just thinking about it. About 26 hours driving all up thanks to our detours.
