Sunny Saturday

I thought it wasn't that long ago that I had my hair coloured, based on when I was posting about it, it was back in April!

Luckily for me, I my roots aren't too far away from the colours I have in my hair!

Anyway, Saturday I finally got it done again and got a much needed hair cut. The first one since December! I though I'd want my fringe shorter again, but it's grown out so much now that the hairdresser decided I should leave it.

Here's a before shot. I had some errands to do in the city (including a trip to visit Miss Fox, will be getting threading next time!) and picked up a few things from the Queen Vic Markets on my way out.

I wore my beloved leather jacket, with my black Zara skater dress (this one) and those black boots I just can't seem to take off.

I also painted a my nails French on Friday night, using OPI Alpine Snow. I'm super impressed with the Poshe top coat, five days on and I have only fractional tip wear. I'll redo them tomorrow night for my weekend in Brisbane, but they almost won't need to be done!

And my new hair!

Doesn't look too different, but I can notice it. Still a big difference from before I was dying it. The hairdresser curled it for me, and sprayed it with a tonne of hairspray, sadly it still didn't stay for more than a few hours. My hair drops so quickly :-(

And some pics away from direct sunlight. Which makes it look awesome, but always feels like cheating just a little.

Tomorrow I'll be posting the pictures of my wall stickers, I tidied the apartment to take photos especially :-)

  1. Very cute outfit. It's fun to spoil yourself with a new hair cut and new colour.

  2. Love the hair. Have you tried setting lotion/spray (I use one by an aussie company called "wavol" - lindy charm school for girls sells it as their setting lotion...but you can also find it online by searching wavol)? When I spray it onto hair before I curl it (even when I don't do a wet set overnight) it holds for days. My curls always used to drop out pretty quickly too. Would also love to hear what you thought about Miss Fox?

    1. MissFox was lovely, I had a wax appointment so not much to report. Have booked an eyebrow threading for 4 weeks time, so I will write a post on it then :-)

And I might have to start using hair products lol

  4. Your hair looks great, love the curls. Mine drop very quickly as well, unless I put heaps of hairspray but then it looks all crunchy :(

    1. Yeah I don't like crunchy hair. A few suggestions in these comments for longer lasting curls, might try some next time :-)

    1. Thankyou :-) I am lucky, but I do try to dye my hair close to my natural colour, just giving it a boost really.

Alpine Snow is so white, it's great. Can be a bit thick though but easy enough to use :-) I paint the lines myself (don't use stickers/tape) with no problems.

  6. The blond definitely suits you! I am naturally an awful dishwater blond that doesn't suit me at all so I went with red instead.
The curls are nice too! :)

    1. I thought that was your natural (or close to it) colour! I'm almost disappointed :-P It really suits you though! I have two red headed sisters and know I could never look as natural as they do with red hair, so I've never gone down that path!

    2. Ooh, maybe I shouldn't tell people that I'm not naturally a redhead.. :P It does suit me HEAPS better than blond, I looked too washed out with blond hair. Go to a wig store and try on some different colors. The revelations you get are just amazing hahaha.

    1. Thankyou :-) I'm really happy with all the highlights (and there's a few low lights too). My hairdresser is a guy, I think that makes a difference lol

  8. colour looks great! really natural... i like when it looks natural, then you can almost pretend it's your real hair colour! my hair never used to hold a curl either until i started using a babyliss curler and tresemme heat protector spray. now it works like a charm and can last up to three days if you put your hair in a bun when you sleep at night... might be worth a try :)
