Black Tights: 3 ways

I have worn black tights with dresses/skirts to work the last three days, and I two days I rode in! Are you proud?

Monday morning I started work at 6am, hence not riding that day.

I wore a black and white print summer dress (bought from Target for around $20 years ago) with black tights and boots, black jacket and scarf and a purple cardigan.

I spent the day working in a different part of the office so I never got around to changing into my work heels.

I also kept my black jacket on for a lot of the day cause the air-con is much colder there.

Did snap a bathroom shot without it though. I think the colour definitely livens up the outfit!

At least I have bright nails.

I work a different black jacket with a black skirt and mustard shirt on Tuesday. I also accessorised with a massive mustard bangle.

The skirt is a little interesting, has a weird flap thing on the front. Bought from Portmans, again years ago.

The shirt I bought for $5 from Cotton On only the other day.

The bangle was one of my Diva bargains. It's also the one I wanted to wear last week but left on the bathroom sink...oh well, I ended up with a nice pink flower as a result :-)

You get slightly decent photos from Tuesday because I had to venture into the city during lunch. Wasn't complaining about the sunshine!

And I love this picture because I co-ordinate with the van. I'm clever like that.

Today I rode in again, so this is what I usually look like when I rock up to work. Excuse the dodgy lighting in the lift.

And this is me about 10 minutes later when I've dressed for the day. I am wearing maroon in support of the QLD Maroons who are going to smash the Blues in the final State of Origin game tonight. Sorry MrsG!

I think I bought this butterfly belt at a market many moons ago. I wanted to brighten up the outfit and didn't want a black belt this time (I've blogged this dress before). My nail polish is still looking quite presentable, I expect to redo the tips before the wedding on Saturday though. And it does clash a little with my dress...

    1. Planning on tomorrow at least, will try for Friday but have to be at the airport before 6pm so that makes it harder!

  3. I seriously admire your ability to match colours in your outfits, you get them spot on every time - like the *exact* shades! And that photo with the van is just pure skill ;)

    1. Don't worry, I don't usually roll out of bed until 7:30 anyway :-) Riding is actually the quickest way for me to get in unless I park close to work and pay $10 instead of $5. Riding is also the cheapest option!

  6. Great outfits. The dress is really nice and I've considered wearing a dress or two over tights and with a top underneath but not sure yet.

    1. You just have to try it. Some of my dresses are a bit of a fail as are tights (like today's but will post on that later). Being warm isn't as hard as you'd think though.

  8. This is crazy but I have that dress and that cotton on top - absolutely loving mustard at the moment! You should definitely be proud of riding twice - with how cold it is once was a feat! x

    1. I think I may have confused you all, you're supposed to be proud of me for wearing dresses rather than boring pants! lol.

The mustard top is so comfy! And cheap :-)

  10. Hi, I was wondering what your black and white print summer dress brand is? I have bought the same one from Target years ago but the back tagging has been lost and I'm not sure if it's Mossimo, Merona..etc. I'm just curious if yours is still on and what it is. Thanks for taking a look!
