Photos for my walls...

So I can't help myself, I'm going to show you all the photos I'm putting on my wall...

Black and white of the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne.

This is going above the dining room table...which means almost next to the couch. Keeping with the black and white theme I have going there. I took this photo on Saturday.

Night shot of Story Bridge, Brisbane.

This one is going over the TV. Still works alright with the black and white theme, I'm ignoring the orange lights and paying attention to the splash of red...I took this photo on my first 'official' date with SJ.

French Alps and Mont Blanc, France.

SJ took this photo during his trip in 2010. It's going above our bed and will fit the entire length. Our room is mostly white, as in white furniture but the quilt is a one his mum made in red, black and white. I wanted a picture that was stunning without being too detailed so it didn't compete too hard with the quilt.

Devils Marbles at Sunrise, Northern Territory.

I took this one on our NT trip in 2009. Spent a few hours by myself at sunset...got so lonely I named this boulder Joe. He has family but was a bit of a loner too.

It's going above the guest bed. That room has no real theme but is neutral colours (the different quilts I use in there are browns and cremes) and I have a little sunset coloured water colour on the bedside.

The following pictures will be a vertical collage 30cm wide on the edge of our entry wall. It will be visible from the kitchen bench with the other black and white in the background.

Tower Bridge, London.
Rabbit Proof Fence, near Coober Pedy, SA....Florence Duomo, Italy
Arc De Triomphe, Paris.

Colosseum, Rome...Clock Tower (now Elizabeth Tower)/Big Ben, London.
Brandenburg Gate, Berlin.
Koppenburg, Belgium (a famous strip in the cycling world)...Eiffel Tower, Paris

Ponte Rialto, Venice.
Stonehenge, UK...Pinnacles, WA.
St Paul's Cathedral, London.

Kata Tjuat (The Olgas), NT...Roman Forum, Rome.
Uluru, NT.
Luna Park, Melbourne...Leaning Tower, Pisa.

    1. Yeah, photos on a computer feel like such a waste. I need to make more photobooks!

  2. These pictures are STUNNING. Great idea too, I'll start taking pictures soon for the purpose of framing them!

    1. It does make it easier to take the perfect picture to frame when you know where and how it's going :-)

    1. Yeah I love having things that evoke memories on my walls. Maybe if I found a significant piece of art, otherwise, personal all the way :-)

My favourite is the Royal Exhibition building but I may be a little bias as I was married in front of that fountain. It really is a gorgeous place.
