Fancy a Makeover??

Chances are, many of you have previously seen the InStyle Makeover tool. It's been around for years and I have used it plenty of times when deciding on new hair styles...to fringe or not to fringe is always the question.

I have been thinking more and more about my makeup these days, trying to find the best ways to do my eyes to make them pop. I remembered that the InStyle Makeover also includes makeup, particularly 'on-trend' styles...what better way to try out some new looks without actually having to apply the makeup!

A 'before' shot
As recommended I uploaded a photograph I took of myself (on my phone) with my hair pulled back and looking as straight at the camera as possible. I also took this shot looking up at a light to attempt to remove any shadows from my face, I think it works better that way. I also cropped around the photo in paint (oh and resized to less than 1000 pixels wide so it uploads quickly).

Only downside is when trying in hairstyles you have no neck.

You can apply celebrity hairstyles and then any makeup you choose, most of the big brands colours are listed (but be warned, MAC Lady Danger is much brighter on me in real life than the tool showed).

To keep things simple and have a bit of fun, I have applied the 'complete looks' from a few famous faces to my own.
I think this look works quite well for me, similar hair to what I have now (just a hell of a lot more volume!) red lippy, warm blush, dark eyes.

This one is similar just a little more subdued. I am learning that bronzed eyes is quite a good look for me.

Very smokey eyes, not so much. I look a little too rock star like this.

Though not quite as rock star as this pic! I sort of like it but it's really not me. Maybe one day if I bleach my hair more!

Going the other way now, these eyes are very similar to the ones I've liked. I think it's a good look. What do you think of the brunette crop? something in my future perhaps? I feel like Missy Higgins.

This one I really don't like. Pink is not my colour! Nor is the slightly blue tinged black hair haha.

And another one just for fun. Look out, I am a vampire now!
