Strong enough

I'm flying home tonight, looking forward to seeing my boyfriend and family so much. Will be attending a cousin's wedding tomorrow too, so it will be great to catch up with all my extended family.

After my last post, Wednesday evening, I was able to have another look through the apartment with the current tenant. Definitely love the place :-) he was full of praise for it, said the only real issue was that the water pressure is a little pathetic. Will be annoying but the shower head is detachable so I'll just get used to washing my hair that way. He loves the location and the spot in the building, it's a corner and at the end of a corridor so it's pretty private. Wrap around balcony is also a good viewpoint for some apparently  spectacular sunsets :-) I can't wait. Move in on Tuesday June 7th.

So I'm basically at the end of two solo weeks down here, I think I've coped better than I thought I would. Miss everyone so much and I wasn't doing too well some of the first nights, but I think I've proved to myself that I can handle this.

That said, it still hasn't sunk in. Moving interstate isn't something that someone like me does. I'm a homebody and I don't like change, or taking risks, so I'm proud of myself for doing this. Things will be much better when I'm in my own place too, living in a hotel sucks.

Still have a few things to sort out, I need a fridge and insurance for example, but everything is coming together very nicely. And I'm super excited about having family visit me down here, I think that will help it feel more real.

Also from the day I move in, it should be only two months before that guy joins me...ugh I really need to come up with a nickname or acronym for him, no idea what though, will have a think about it over the weekend. Mr D seems inappropriate when we're not married. And I'm not a huge fan of some of the ones I've seen in forums, like MOH (my other half) because they feel too impersonal. Though I do feel silly referring to him by anything other than his name anyway.

Wonder if I'd get any ideas from Google...
