Our Wedding - The Dress

This is the first in a series of blog posts about our wedding. A few things made our wedding a little different and I'd love to share some of the behind the scenes. To begin with, I'll start with some photos with a particular focus on 'the dress'. Designed by Wendy Makin, I first saw 'Daphne' at the Queensland Brides Design Awards and knew it was perfect for me. Photos in this post are by Blue Tulip Imaging.

More to come!

    1. Sorry Chenisse, I originally considered shortening it but couldn't do that to it just yet. I've had it dry cleaned and it's in a box but I know I will get it out again one day.
Wendy Makin does have seconds sales on occasion but usually on the ready-to-wear range, when I thought Daphne might be out of my timeline my alternative plan was to buy a silk dress and get my grandmother to paint it? Could be something to consider if you're looking for a more budget option.
Alternatively, though it was twice my original dress budget I've never regretted spending that much on it. It made the whole day and set the theme, I scrimped on other things instead.
