Starting the 12wbt

Today was a big market shopping day to buy everything we need to start the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation.

We always end up with a lot of fruit and vegies after our market shops, but our fruit bowls are looking rather festive. Ready for the challenge!
As we will be in Brisbane next weekend, sticking to the menu plan will be a little harder...especially at a dinner wedding...So to make up for it, we used next Sunday's meal plan for today.
That meant a lovely open steak sandwich for lunch, and a sweet potato and capsicum pizza for dinner. Forgot to photograph it, but it looked and tasted as good as the ones we usually make :-)

And now...I have decided I will post up a before picture. It will give me added motivation to be able to post better photographs in future.

[EDIT: I uploaded a photograph and it remained on my blog for almost two years. I have now deleted it because I don't really want half naked photographs of me on the internet. I also now have friends and family read this blog, so it's a little embarassing as well. I'll just say, I didn't look too bad but did have a little excess weight in problem areas.]

I have cheated a little and made me rather small in it, don't want you looking too closely! As you can see, I am pear shaped. My aims for the 12 weeks will include reducing my hips/butt area, getting fitter and toning the rest of my body.

I'll post more on the 12wbt in the coming weeks. I have intended to write a longer post on it, but it's almost my bedtime.
And finally, I made this guy this afternoon...he's supposed to be a sock giraffe, so I hope you got that! Any ideas on a name?

  3. Thanks girls :-) I think I shall call him Archibald.

And so far the food has been good, will try to avoid posting pictures daily and do them all at the end of the week.

  4. Your sock giraffe looks fabulous!!! I want to know how you made him!

I've always had a thing for alliteration for toys names, so if he was mine I'd call him Gerry Giraffe.

    Good luck with the challenge!

    1. Yes, do it! It's not so bad if you shrink the picture. And I will do my 12 week shot with better light and a fake tan!
